SPRING PLAY DESIGN
Published in the 2016 Yearbook (Spring Supplement)
The spring play was called "Insane With Power", so for this spread, I tried to convey the aspect of superheroes and power. I used cutouts of the students who were in the play and arranged them to model a group of superheroes displaying their power or showing a form of action. I thought that I effectively conveyed this because the left page of the spread grabs the attention of the reader and it shows action on the page that carries over to the next page. Working with so many cutouts, I learned the best way to arrange them and I became more familiar with where to place dominant photos and features of the spread. I am most proud of the way the spread looks a whole, displaying the essence of the play. The yearbook benefited from this spread because it gave readers insight and a feel for the play and will keep the aspects of the play alive.
